Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis Set type / Edit

«Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is excessive fat build-up in the liver due to causes other than alcohol use.[1] There are two types: non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFL) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).[1][2][3] Non-alcoholic fatty liver usually does not progress to liver damage or NASH.[1] NASH includes both a fatty liver and liver inflammation.[2] It may lead to complications such as cirrhosis, liver cancer, liver failure, or cardiovascular disease.[1][4]
