When can I add/edit BioLinks?

You can propose BioLinks. You receive Write Access, when an admin manually approves you, depending on your knowledge.

Why only English?

English is an international scientific language for knowledge exchange.

What are the Good BioLink Sources?

Is this service beta or public?

It is beta — we constantly add more functionality. We have quite big BioLinks database already. In progress: BioLinks and Users Reputation system.

Is current BioLinks database valid?

Most of the data entered is considered of Good quality. As far as our community, researchers and analysts think it is valid. There are thousands and thousands of researches. We add only those that might affect your health; lifespan; or might lead to a more pronounce findings in future.

Can I find all the existing interactions of one protein?

No. It is nearly impossible to track all the relations, connections and interactions for your chemical. You may research and add more. Service provides most useful BioLinks for health and biohacking related goals. But at the same time only known to the service. Most likely there are something else. That's the point of — if one researcher finds and adds — instantly everyone can see it.

Can I use BioLinks to make health-related conclusions?

Partially. Whenever you see a supportive proof-link to NCBI, in most cases you have a citation from there. It is your responsibility to double-check information sources by yourself or a specialist. And always consult with your doctor. In any way, we are working on improving the data we have, adding new and assuring all the BioLinks are looking good — with proofs.

How do I get experience and Level Up?

You get Experience points for adding properly formed BioLinks. +10 exp After getting enough Experience, you Level Up. 2 lvl You promote your title and get a badge star. In future the level will influence what can you access, your reputation, you may specify what researches you would like to be researched. You receive BioLink Aging Bonus — a bonus of local_florist+1% exp for every BioLink posted after your's. Up to +30% bonus exp!

Are you going to pay me?

We spent quite a lot of our spare time/money to develop this project for you. Months and months of work, and years of experience. Our initial goal was to be useful to humankind. If you are keen on digging the medical researches and you do it only for yourself, without sharing, then why do you expect others will share with you? We share BioLink findings in exchange for other BioLink findings. Those who are in the beginning of our project, anyway going to be honored. Sharing is caring! Isn't it cool to see how data aggregates and becomes more complex?
